Amite River Christmas Parade

Christmas on the Bayou

December 3, 2022

It’s time for our annual Christmas Parade. This year we are dedicating our parade to Chad Jones. Chad lost his life earlier this year and he and his wife and friends are long time supporters of our organization especially the parade. So it only seem fit to dedicate this year to him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. The parade will start at dusk down Chinquapin Canal at the last camp and make its way up. Santa will stop at the piers that have kids to hand out prizes for them. First stop - Red’s - Santa will get off the boat and go inside for pictures. Second and last stop will be Manny’s - Santa will get off and take pictures with the kids. A kid’s area will be set up and food will be served. If you want to enter your boat sign up will be at Manny’s the day of the parade. $25 to enter and a free t-shirt will go with that. Boats will meet in front of Red’s at 4:30 for a captains meeting then we will head down to where the parade will begin and line up. Then it’s lights on and time to roll. Remember no throws. Santa is taking care of prizes for the kids. If you’re not entering a boat then gather your friends and family to come and enjoy the parade and like mentioned above Santa will be stopping at the piers that have children to give out prizes.
