Farmer's/Vendor Market: 10am to 2pm Pet Registration: 10:30am Pet Parade: 11am Live Music: 11:00am to 2:00pm The 1/2 mile parade will begin by the Outdoor Pavilion and follow the walking path in the park. The Kroux of Barkus pet parade will start at 11am. This year's grand Marshall will be an adoptable pet representing the Walker Animal Shelter. Bark in the Park will continue until 2pm. The activities will include live Cajun/Zydeco music, Market and Food vendors, and pet themed booths, including a professional photographer for pet portraits. Blue Ducky 5K Waddle

Blue Ducky 5K Waddle Join us for the 2nd annual Blue Ducky 5K Waddle, a heartfelt event honoring Stephany Nicolosi, a remarkable woman who helped save eight lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation. Stephany defied the odds daily, and her legacy lives on through this special race. Inspired by her love for the color blue and rubber duckies, this event donates a portion of proceeds to the Chris Klug Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about organ donation. Location & Course Set in the breathtaking Tickfaw State Park, runners and walkers will experience Louisiana’s natural beauty while supporting a great cause. The race follows a scenic out-and-back course along the park’s main entrance road, with portions on grass and pavement. The route passes serene water areas perfect for a post-run cool-down and finishes near the River Trailhead, with restrooms conveniently located at the start/finish line. While at Tickfaw State Park, take time to explore over a mile of boardwalks winding through four diverse ecosystems, visit the Nature Center’s 800-gallon aquarium, and enjoy the sights and sounds of Louisiana’s unique wildlife. Come waddle with us for a meaningful run in a stunning setting!

Livingston Parish Fair Parade

Livingston Parish Fair Parade – Livingston, LA The Livingston Parish Fair Parade is a beloved annual tradition that kicks off fair week with vibrant community spirit. Departing from Doyle Elementary School near Will Hughes Road, the parade advances north on LA Highway 63 and wraps up at the fairgrounds via US Highway 190. A colorful mix of fire trucks, police vehicles, floats, marching bands, dance teams, and costumed groups makes its way alongside horseback riders and covered wagons. Participants are judged in different age divisions upon returning to the fairgrounds. Organized by volunteers Rip Jones, Nancy Stewart, and Derek Gardner, this parade celebrates both modern charm and long-held traditions.

Chili Cookoff and Fun Run

If you like your Chili, mild, wild or somewhere in between, then join us this Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Old City Hall in Downtown Denham Springs (Antique Village) for our Chili Cookoff. The tastings start at 11:00 am and with a $10 wristband, you get unlimited tastings and a vote for People's Choice. There will also be live music by Jovin Webb. Denham Springs Book Swap

It’s time for our third Denham Springs Book Swap, and we can’t wait to gather again for a night of books, community, and connection! This event is all about bringing people together who share a love for reading. We’re thrilled to be back at Mustard Seed Creamery, our wonderful host. Right across the street, you’ll find Cavalier House Books, an incredible local bookstore with a thoughtful selection and amazing support. Plus, the Livingston Parish Library will be joining in the fun! Here’s how it works: Bring a gently used book (kids, adult, fiction, nonfiction, all are welcome). For each book you bring, you’ll receive a ticket. Use your ticket to swap for a new to you book! At the end of the night, any remaining books will be donated to various local organizations. Please note: this isn’t meant to be a book dump. Bring books you’ve loved and are ready to pass along so others can enjoy them too. ✨ Early Book Drop: We’ll have a special drop off time the Wednesday before the event so you can exchange your books for tickets ahead of time.
