Sexual Harassment Policy
It is the policy of the Livingston Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau to prohibit sexual
harassment of its employees in the workplace by any person in any form.
An employee who believes that he has been the subject of sexual harassment should follow the
grievance procedure outlined in this manual. All complaints shall be investigated in a prompt,
confidential manner and the employee initiating the complaint will be advised of the findings.
Any employee who is found to have engaged in sexual harassment of another employee will be
subject to appropriate sanctions depending on the circumstances, up to and including
termination.
Examples of sexual Harassment may include but not limited to:
- Lewd Jokes
- Suggestive or implied sexual innuendos
- Inappropriate touching
- Forbid to place sexual comments on social media about fellow co-workers

Each supervisor has an affirmative duty to maintain his workplace free of sexual harassment. This duty includes discussing this policy with all employees and assuring them that they are not required to endure insulting, degrading, or exploitative sexual treatment and that no employee shall threaten or insinuate, either explicitly, that another employee's refusal to submit to sexual advances will adversely affect the employee's employment, evaluation, wages, advancement, assigned duties, shifts, or any other conditions of employment or career development.
